Summer, sunshine, training!

On June 13 and 14, the University Sports Center of Technical University of Darmstadt, in cooperation with Darmstädter Fecht-Club 1890 e.V., hosted the German University Fencing Team Championships 2026 in Darmstadt. In a total of six events, Germany’s best university teams competed for the national titles in épée, foil, and sabre. A remarkable fact: not a single team managed to defend its title. All six championships were won by new teams.

Over four days, the German University Table Tennis Championships (June 4–7) took place in Darmstadt, organized by WG Darmstadt in cooperation with SG Arheilgen. In the end, the teams from southern Hesse impressed on home soil: with a total of six medals, WG Darmstadt was not only the most successful delegation but also the one with the largest number of participants in the entire tournament.

On June 13 and 14, 2026, the German University Fencing Championships (team event) will be held in the sports halls of TU Darmstadt. The event is organized by the University Sports Center of the Technical University of Darmstadt in cooperation with the Darmstadt Fencing Club 1890 e.V.
