University sports are also affected by the massive financial cuts in state funding under the “Hessian University Pact 2026-2031.” Consequently, the University Sports Center (Unisport-Zentrum) must revise its offerings and fee structure. Among other changes, a Sports Game Card (Sportspielkarte) will be introduced for participation in sports game activities starting in the summer semester of 2026.

Purchasing this Sports Game Card will be a prerequisite for participating in all sports game offerings at the University Sports Center. The card is valid for one semester and is priced as follows:

• Students: €18.00

• TU Employees: €27.00

• Guests: €32.00

The introduction of the Sports Game Card is intended to ensure that sports game activities can continue to be offered in their usual quality and variety despite the tight financial situation.

The new regulation applies starting from the summer semester of 2026.

In the future, the Sports Game Card can be found within the sports categories under “Sports games card”(Unisport Sportspielkarte). This card must be booked before you can register for the actual course.
